I had the pleasure of working with Ian during the Summer of 2020 on a complete refurbishment of a 200 year old house. Ian's detail and attention-oriented focus on ensuring the periodic character remained intact was evident from the outset. The final result was excellent craftsmanship, even down to recommendations Ian made (Such as cornices and door frames) which were completely different to my suggestions, however were 100% the correct decision and I was grateful for his valued input and technical expertise.

Issues and problems that you would expect to find from such an old house were met with positivity and pragmatism and ultimately we were made to feel these issues were minor (when we both knew in fact some were quite major!) and no problem to resolve.

 

I have recommended Ian and his company to several colleagues and would be delighted to work with him at some point in the future.
